How to measure for a Radiator Cover

Measure the Radiator Width
When measuring the width of your radiator, include the valves and any extra pipes in your measurements. We want the valves inside the cabinet for a neater installation. The front of our cabinets open, so radiators and valves are easily accessible once the cabinet is fitted. Feel free to include sockets, cables or anything else you’d prefer to be inside the cabinet! The website will show the cabinet width underneath the radiator width.
TOP TIP;
Exaggerate the width of your radiator if you’d like the cabinet to be longer than required. This helps gain symmetry in a room.
Measure Radiator Height
When measuring the radiator height, be sure to measure from the floor. The only exception is when ordering one of our floating radiator cabinets, in which case you should measure from the top of the skirting board.
If you have any obstructions above the radiator, like a window sill or dado rail, please let us know the maximum cabinet height in the notes section (payment page). We can lower the cabinet height and even thin the top inside for very tight spaces.
You will notice on our website that we provide the cabinet height underneath when you enter the radiator height. Please ignore this if you have a specific height requirement.
Measure Radiator Depth
When measuring the radiator depth, it’s critical to measure from the back wall to the part of the radiator that’s furthest forward. You will see the cabinet depth populate underneath. Please be aware that this includes the overhang of the cabinet top (traditional & mirror cabinets). The main body cabinet depth will be 2cm less than this. The cabinet depth allows for a 3-4cm air gap to let the radiator breathe, the thickness of the front panel and grille (3cm), and the top overhang.

TOP TIP!
Please be aware that valves or pipes may protrude beyond the face of the radiator, so it is very important to include them in the depth measurement.
